Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BestAI ("the Service"), provided at best1-ai.com by the BestAI operator ("we" or "the Operator"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

  • BestAI answers the question "Which AI for this purpose?" with tier lists aggregated from community votes.
  • Tier lists and scores are statistical summaries of user votes, provided for reference only. We do not guarantee the quality, performance, or safety of any AI service or model listed.

2. Accounts

  • Voting, commenting, and creating threads require signing in with an X (formerly Twitter) account.
  • To prevent vote manipulation (e.g., ballot stuffing with throwaway accounts), we verify at sign-in that your X account meets certain conditions: it is at least one year old.
  • You may not use more than one account on the Service.
  • You are responsible for your account, and actions taken through it are deemed your own.

3. Your Content

  • You retain ownership of the votes, comments, threads, and item information you submit ("Your Content").
  • You grant the Operator a royalty-free license to use Your Content (including reproducing, translating, summarizing, displaying, and distributing it) to the extent necessary to provide, aggregate, improve, and promote the Service, including generating share images.
  • Votes and comments are published together with your handle and display name.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Manipulate results through multiple accounts, coordinated voting, or paid votes
  • Vote for or promote products you are affiliated with without disclosing the affiliation (stealth marketing)
  • Defame, discriminate against, or harass others, spread false information, or otherwise infringe the rights of others
  • Spam or create threads solely for promotion
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service, including excessive scraping or exploiting vulnerabilities
  • Violate applicable laws or public order and morals

5. Aggregation Adjustments

  • To keep results fair, we may adjust aggregation: weighting votes (trust, time decay), excluding votes with confirmed conflicts of interest, and invalidating abnormal voting patterns.
  • We may merge duplicate items, move or merge threads, and correct names. Votes and comments are carried over where possible.

6. Advertising and Affiliate Links

  • Links to external services may include affiliate links, which are labeled as advertising.
  • Affiliate relationships never affect tier list rankings, scores, or presentation.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Rights to the Service (logo, design, code, etc.) belong to the Operator or their rightful owners.
  • Names and logos of AI services and models shown on the Service are trademarks of their respective owners.

8. Removal and Suspension

We may remove or hide content that violates these Terms, invalidate votes, and suspend accounts, without prior notice.

9. Disclaimer

  • The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or availability.
  • We are not liable for damages arising from decisions, contracts, or purchases made in reliance on tier lists, comments, or other content.
  • Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

10. Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend, or terminate the Service without prior notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as needed. Material changes will be announced on the Service. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Operator's place of residence, as the court of first instance.
